Ron Palmer, MSc MBA - Executive Director

Ron brings 20 years of exploration experience as well as a formal business degree to the team. The earlier years involved project based activities with project management control and responsibilities. After completing an MBA (Technology Management) in 2001, Ron left his position in exploration management with De Beers Botswana and returned to Australia to successfully start Diamond Geophysics Consulting.

Ron has managed an international minerals exploration consulting business as well as consulting on strategic and project management and business plans. Ron's key clients are based in the UK, Canada and Australia with projects areas in Africa, Former Soviet Union (FSU) and the Pacific Rim. In 2004 Ron accepted to act in the capacity of Chief Geophysicist for Everfor Diamonds PLC, a UK-based company with exploration interests in Russia. Ron has been responsible for bringing in and applying new exploration technology to Russia over the last 24 months. Since August 2006, Ron has operated Savannah Diamonds Ltd, an exploration company focused on diamond exploration in Tanzania with over 70,000 km2 under tenure.

Ian Reid - Executive Director

Ian was born and educated in the UK before migrating to Australia in 1997. He worked for 14 years for Shell International in technical and management roles in petroleum exploration. Since 1997 he has worked as a geoscience consultant in Melbourne, Australia. He has lived and worked in the UK, New Zealand, Oman, Australia, Vietnam and Norway. Throughout his Shell career he was a senior technical expert in seismic interpretation and prospect evaluation. More recently he has been involved in acreage management as a consultant manager and has managed significant field data acquisition of seismic surveys and the operation of petroleum boreholes both onshore and offshore.
